Cryosurgery is a surgical procedure on the skin, in this method the surgeon treats a variety of benign and malignant skin conditions by deep freezing or an extremely cold application to destroy abnormal or diseased tissue. Some skin conditions for cryosurgeries are moles, warts, Morton’s neuroma, skin cancers, solar keratoses, skin tags and many more. The most commonly used method of deep freezing lesions is using liquid nitrogen for freezing solution. Cryosurgery works by taking advantage of the destructive force of freezing temperatures on cells. At a very low temperature, the skin condition can be easily torn apart from the skin surface. A patient that undergone on this treatment is commonly experiencing minor-to-moderate localized pain and discomforts that resulting to the redness of the skin.  A blister may form on the skin surface due to the burning sensation of deep freezing the skin. Analgesic is advised to take in orally to reduce the pain, and sometime doctors recommended using Xylocaine Ointment for Cryosurgery to eliminate the pain and discomforts during the cryosurgery.
